Taking a Look at Moles on the Skin
Most of us have a few moles scattered here and there. Those of us who are lucky have small moles that don't really affect our appearance in any way at all. However, that is certainly not the case with all moles.
Frankly speaking, moles can appear in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some of them may be small, while others may be big. Some may be round, while others may be unevenly shaped and even resemble a splotch. Some moles actually end up protruding from the skin itself, and others may even be 'hairy' with dark hair growing from them.
To be entirely honest, explaining moles is really rather difficult. There are no firm explanations regarding moles or their behavior. Sometimes, moles can spontaneously appear and disappear. At other times they may actually stay with you throughout your life. One thing that is known however is that most moles are fairly hereditary and so if your parents or grandparents had some particular prominent mole - you will probably get it too!
As you can see, moles represent a diverse range of different conditions really and the truth is that if your moles are small, flat and rather unnoticable you can probably just leave it be. At the same time, large and hairy moles that protrude from the skin may look unappealing and if so then you've probably already considered dealing with them in some way or other.
Removing most moles is fairly straightforward and all it should take is a trip down to your local doctor. That being said, you should be aware that if your moles are presenting with problems then it might have developed into a melanoma (i.e. a cancerous mole) and if so then you should definitely see your doctor immediately for treatment.
One thing worth noting is that exposure to the sun has been linked with the development of moles. In other words, if you want to stop yourself from acquiring more and more moles, you should avoid direct sun exposure and should always use sun block if you're going out into a particularly intensely lit day! This alone could help you to avoid various other problems as well - making it a good precautionary measure to take.
End of the day, it is up to you how you wish to deal with the moles on your skin - just watch out for potential melanomas!
